Unleash your inner artist at our first ever nature sketching workshop.
This summer, join artist and conservationist, Alan Li, for a small group workshop where we learn the fundamentals of sketching while exploring the natural beauty of High Park. Observing nature in an urban park with pens and sketchbooks is a great introduction to the region’s wild places: ravines, escarpment, shoreline, rivers, oak savannah, woodlands and wetlands. Beginners welcome.
This is a small group, in-person, outdoor event. Registration is required.
Materials
Each registered participant will be provided with the following materials to use for the workshop and take home:
1x Basic Sketchbook
1x Mechanical Pencil with HB lead
1x Eraser
1x Ballpoint Pen
Participants are welcome to bring their own additional materials.
Optional materials (not provided):
Artistic Black Pens (e.g. Micron Fineliner, Fountain Pen, Brush Pen)
Coloured Pencils
Folding stool
