Jessie MacAlpine is a senior PhD student in the Cowen lab at the University of Toronto, studying the interactions between human fungal pathogens and the friendly bacteria living in our bodies. Outside of the lab, you can find her foraging for mushrooms in between trail running and hiking. She also loves to knit, play various instruments, and sometimes writes science-themed musical songs! 🎶
