Wat-er you doing for World Oceans Day on June 8? 🌊 We’re diving into the science of seaweed biodiversity with our next Instagram takeover host, Josie Crichton!
Josie is a second year Master's student examining seaweed biodiversity in New Brunswick. She first fell in love with seaweed a few years ago during a field course on Vancouver Island, and now believes the opportunities in seaweed science are endless. Currently, she’s working with red algae.
Outside of her research and field work, you can find Josie rock climbing 🧗, listening to live music 🎵, reading 📚 and going on weekend camping trips ⛺️. She also hopes to improve accessibility in science, and takes extra care in guiding and inspiring young women to pursue science, especially past the undergraduate level 💪
