Join Nargol Ghazian on a journey to the wild west to learn about desert ecology!
Nargol is a PhD candidate at York University studying arid system ecology (yep, that’s right: deserts!). She fell in love with the landscape of Southwestern USA as an undergraduate student and fostered it through her MSc and PhD. She seeks to understand how anthropogenic changes, such as climate change, are impacting the natural world and strives to come up with active, restorative solutions. Her latest creation: artificial shelters for climatic amelioration.
When she’s not doing science, you can find her biking, cooking, photographing the great outdoors, curating her music playlist, or at your local art gallery.
