June’s Science is a Drag event was our biggest show yet, with 200 people huddled around Toronto’s Offworld Bar to watch in awe as four scientists took the stage in drag to share details of their research and perform. From selling out in under four minutes to singing, lip syncing and a burlesque performance demonstrating Ram pressure stripping, this year’s Science is a Drag show was one for the books and what one attendee described as “unapologetically joyful!”
Better still, we're delighted to share that CBC's Quirks & Quarks profiled the initiative in a 22 minute(!) long radio documentary as part of a recent episode.
