About the Speaker
Dylan McCart is no stranger to Churchill, the Polar Bear Capital of the World. He currently serves as the Churchill Northern Studies Centre’s (CNSC) Executive Director. Before that, he spent over a decade studying polar bears, including the coordination of research and conservation efforts in Northern Ontario.
Dylan completed his BSc at the University of Manitoba and his MSc at York University, focusing on polar bear endocrinology.
About the Churchill Northern Studies Centre
Founded in 1976, the Churchill Northern Studies Centre is an independent, non-profit field station focused on research and education in the subarctic. It is located 23km east of the town of Churchill, Manitoba. It supports scientific and social researchers working on a diverse range of topics of interest in the north. It also facilitates learning programs throughout the year for non-credit learning vacations, university credit courses, and youth programming.
